Bringing Loopy, Stiffy, Boy and Johhny alive in music video

identitet.

I apologize to all our English speaking readers, that I have not written this post in English as well. However I can promise you that I will translate this text very soon, and post it again in English. Stay tuned :)

Kill your darlings

The other day Stine and I were so lucky to get a signed cd from our new friend, singer and blogger, Anine Bing. An amazing album that we can highly recommend!!

The album is called “kill your darlings” and you can learn a lot more about it on this following link: http://killyourdarlings.com/ go take a look!

We are very happy that Anine likes the clothes from “The Baand” and that she often wears it on her blog. We especially like the way she styles her outfits – it is always so inspiring and cool! On the photo above beautifull Anine is wearing one of our tank tops in dusty aubergine mixed with a vintage looking denim shirt, slim fit jeans and cool boots. We like a lot!!

Having meeting with CKO in Roskilde

Part of the perfect “Dream Team” standing outside the building of CKO (Centre for Culture and Experience Economy) in Roskilde, where we had our 2nd meeting with CKO earlier today.

The meeting with CKO went well and we have a good feeling that we will be approved to get their support for our project: Ctrl Alt Delete. The final deadline for handing in the application is on Monday the 7th of November, so now we just have to refine and adjust it.

To the left, Anna and Niels Christian from the upcoming Danish Band “HAY HAY” (representing the creative side) and to the right, Kim Maretti from the old respected Danish company “Junckers” (representing the industrial side) – 2 of the players in our project. We are very proud to be a part of this fantastic “Dream Team” which we have put together, and can not wait to start up the exciting journey that I am sure this project will bring.

Project: Ctrl Alt Delete

The last couple of weeks have been all about brainstorming and discussing ideas. Together with Klaus I. Hell from the Danish Export Counsel we have come up with a brilliant idea. We want to do an event where big players from the Danish Industry join forces with fashion, music and art and all benefit from it and increase their export – focus is on Germany – the biggest export market for Denmark.

Several meetings has been held. On the photo you see Stine and Klaus discussing ideas…

To help us roll out this great idea, we have asked CKO, Center for Culture and Experience Economy, to support us financial and this has resulted in a very positive feedback from them. On an annual basis they support 5-7 projects which they find interesting and educating, and among these selected projects, they have chosen ours.

Well nothing is for sure just yet, but nevertheless we have been selected from 42 applicants and now we are in the top 10 of projects that might get financial support from CKO.

To be in top 10 of CKO’s selected projects means we have to complete a 2nd application and this needs to be even more detailed and more convincing! Yesterday some of us therefore gathered to refine our ideas and prepare for the meeting with CKO on the 1st of November.

We are working with some really cool people on this project. On the industrial side, we have joined forces with Junckersan old Danish company who produce wooden floors and the new and innovation company Aguasolwho work with solarenergy. On the creative side we work with Hay Hay - an elektro pop band and set designers, Mine Neumann and Ida E. Bergkvist Poulsen.

We are very excited to see if CKO chooses to support our idea! Either way we have decided to bring this idea to life, but of course it will be a lot more fun if we get financial support :)

“The Baand” at Fair Fælled Festival

Today, Saturday 13.08.11,  Stine and I attended the “Fair Fælled Festival” at fælled-parken in Copenhagen. Here we sold previous collections from “The Baand” in nice green surroundings.

Our stand seen from the inside..

Despite of the Danish summer wether (rain rain rain..) we had good success and many happy costumers :)

Of course “Stiffy” was there joining us at the festival.

Our alternative method for making aware of ourselves at the festival. Not pretty, we admit!… but it worked ;)

The festival offered many nice events, concerts, and booths all day long.

People relaxing and enjoying the cosy atmosphere…

Good shoes are universal in this wether.

“Fair Fælled” has a very advanced waste disposal..

In the afternoon the Danish band “HAY HAY” went on the scene, playing concert for an hour.

A great concert that really kicked the roof of the tent!

And beautiful Anna was wearing one of our “The Baand” t-shirt´s with “Stiffy print”  - A perfect ending of a beautiful day :)

Tomorrow, Sunday, we will be at the festival again from 12.00 – 17.00, so maybe we see you there.

Meeting with the Danish band “Hay Hay”

About 14 days ago, Stine and I met with Anna from the cool and upcoming Danish band “HAY HAY“. The purpose of the meeting was to get to know each other better, talk about different possibilities of cooperations and supplement Anna with “The Baand” clothes for her future concerts.

Here beautiful Anna is wearing: t-shirt with “Loopy print” from our SS´10 collection.

A lot of outfits were tried on..

Anna is wearing: Gray t-shirt with “Stiffy” print from our SS´11 collection.

Black jersey scarf with fringes and leggings with All over Print – all from “The Baand” of course.

Stine is wearing: Corral t-shirt with “Stiffy” print, trousers from “Hugo Boss” and knitted cardigan from “Schumacher”.

If you are curious to see HAY HAY  playing live concert, you have the possibility already this Saturday, where they are playing in Fælled Parken for the “Fair Fælled” festival, at 6.45 PM in the evening.

It is a great and extremely “hyggelig” festival , where you will also find us from “The Baand” selling clothes from our previous collections for really good prices.

Come and join us in the weekend at Fair Fælled festival :)

Mood pictures from 1st day at Gallery

Stine standing in our agent´s stand at Gallery in front of our clothes. She is wearing: White oversize tank top from “The Baand´s” new SS´12 collection (Perfect for the summer heat – an absolute Favorite already!), and a really nice blue plissé skirt in jersey from H&M (out now)

Interested costumers looking at all the nice brands in our agent, “Asui´s” stand.

All the different brands that our Danish agent, “Asui”, represents.. SOO many nice ones!

Me, Julie, at the stand, getting the information that we just sold to 2 new costumers.. Can´t stop smiling :)

Here one of the helpers at “Asui” wearing our new SS´12 “The Baand” t-shirt with print (Slapping Johhny playing Bas) She is standing in front of the “Yvonne Koné” stand, which is also one of the brands represented in “Asui agency” – a really cool brand mainly focusing on bags in soft soft leather with a kind of vintage look. Check it out here

In the afternoon we met up with Anna from the Danish band “Hay Hay”. Anna is wearing: T-shirt with print (Another great team) from “the Baand” AW´11 collection and trousers from “H&M”. Remember to come and see “Hay Hay” playing in Fælled Parken for “Fair Fælled” next weekend :)

Investing in a HAY rack for my home office

Today I bought myself a HAY rack for my home office (a black HAY loop stand hall) so I have something nice to hang samples on. I went into HAY´s own shop in Pilestræde in the centre of Copenhagen, because I knew they keep a stock here. (Also check out their website: http://www.hay.dk - many nice things!!)

I wanted to be sure that I could get the rack with me home today, so my office can look good for tomorrow, when Stine and I are having a meeting with the leading female singer, Anna Bjørck, from the Danish band called “HAY HAY” (just a funny coincidence with the names..)

Anna is going to try out different “The Baand” out fits for her future performances. It´s very exciting :) I will keep you updated on this here on the blog!

On the way to the HAY shop, my boyfriend and I passed the postoffice near Parken, Østerbro – such a nice old building! Here we shot a few pictures of today´s outfit. I am wearing: a white loose v-neck t-shirt and light blue jersey pants both from “The Baand”, jacket from “ZARA”, bag from “H&M” and sneakers from “NIKE”

And this is how the HAY rack ended up looking in my home office / living room. It took a little moving around with the furnitures, but in the end both my boyfriend and I became very satisfied with the result. (The 2 “The Baand” tops hanging on the rack now, is from our new and coming  AW´11 season)
